Kidz Place Dentistry is active in the community!

They are proud sponsors of the Del Mar Little League, Coast Volleyball Club, San Diego Moms in Motion, Oceanaire Jog-A-Thon, San Diego Race for Autism, San Diego Children's Book Fair, and North Shore Girls Softball League. Please let them know if your son or daughter is a member of a sports team or organization in need of sponsorship. They have also participated in many local preschool dental presentations.

The City of San Diego will begin fluoridating its water on December 22nd, 2010.

If you are currently using fluoride supplementation chewable pills, drops, or multivitamins, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommendation is to discontinue use of them after inception of the fluoridation. Topical application of fluoride such as over the counter fluoride rinse and toothpastes are deemed safe for continued use.

If you are only drinking bottled water without any additional fluoride water, or drink water with a reverse osmosis system and have been diagnosed as “high caries risk” then please contact our office at 858-755-9511 or kidz@kidzplacedentistry.com for further discussion as to whether continuing with the supplementation will be beneficial to your child or children.

We have also provided an internet link to the letter provided from the City of San Diego and from the first5 San Diego Commission which currently funds water fluoridation.

Thank you for your continued support.
