She completed her dental training at the University of California, San Francisco and her business-economimcs degree at the University of California, Los Angeles. During her studies at UCSFDental School she was awarded “Most Likely to be Future Dean” and “Ethics and Professionalism Award” by fellow classmates. She was recently featured in the American Dental Association’s 2008 Member Handbook and Diversity brochure. Dr Evelyne was also a lecturer for the 2006 and 2007 Oral Health Initiative in San Diego, educating over 50 general dentists on diversifying their pediatric patient population. Dr Evelyne also enjoys volunteering at St Leo's Dental Clinic in San Diego, Mexico, and Vietnam with her husband (a general dentist in the Navy). Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, Reagan.
Dr. Evelyne’s practice vision is to provide high quality dentistry in a nurturing and caring environment. Her focus is patient-centered with emphasis on preventing dental disease, beginning in infancy to adulthood. Her progressive techniques utilizes tooth-colored fillings , laser cavity detection, and computerized anesthetic delivery device. The Single Tooth Anesthesia device keeps the tongue, lips, and cheek from becoming numb in certain cases. The practice also utilizes digital radiography, which substantially decreases the amount of radiation to patients compared to traditional radiography.
Dr. Evelyne’s two year specialty training has prepared her to work with special needs patients such as those suffering from autism, cancer, and rare genetic anomalies as well as dentally anxious patients. For her nervous patients, she is able to administer oral conscious sedation or nitrous oxide (laughing gas) to make the dental experience more comfortable. A dental anesthesiologist is also available for patients needing to go to sleep for their dental treatment. Her goal is to establish a positive dental experience with all patients, thus helping patients foster a healthy, lifelong view of the dentist office.
Her practice philosophy is to treat all patients like family while performing only what is necessary to restore a healthy and happy smile for all her patients.
